Hit the Mark!
This interactive exercise takes about 30 minutes in a classroom and it teaches participants about quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control concepts. The participants set a goal and perform "deliverables" which are monitored and measured in a control chart.
They then use their performance to learn about standard variations, sigmas, special causes, and the rule of seven. Many of these concepts are ideas students struggle with while studying for their PMP exam. The hands-on experience makes it much clearer. Great for college courses and project management workshops as well.
Activity kit includes the following:
■Instructor PowerPoint with speaking notes, files for reprinting control charts as often as needed. You can get endless use out of this activity.
■Participant materials for each team (10 teams included with the base kit) •10 Stopwatches
•10 Control Charts
This activity is best played with 2-3 players per team but can be played with anywhere from 1-5 players per team. There are no winners or losers in this activity. The results are used for quality assurance, quality control, trend analysis, and performance discussions.
